Rosario Music Concert and Historical
Christopher Peacock, accomplished musician,
author and Rosario historian, offers a presentation of music and photography
that walks guests through the history of
the Moran family and the Rosario estate.
Highlights of the presentation include the
historic Moran Photograph Collection, Phantom
of the Opera music performed on the Mansion’s
1,972 pipe Aeolian organ with the silent film, stories of the
Mansion’s most colorful residents,
and Christopher’s original piano compositions
played on the 1900 Steinway Grand Piano. Saturdays only at 4 p.m. (there will be no concerts on Jan. 17, 31 and Feb. 7). Complimentary and open
to the public.
Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival "Leaves of Gold" Concert
This annual fundraiser is hosted in the Music Room by Rosario on Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. This year's concert features Baritone Philip Cutlip, pianist Ian Parker and violinist Aloysia Friedmann.
Philip Cutlip has garnered consistent critical acclaim for his performances across North America and Europe. Established on both concert and opera stages, he has performed with a distinguished list of conductors that includes Nicholas McGegan, Yves Abel, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Gerard Schwarz, and Donald Runnicles.
Philip Cutlip has performed with Houston Grand Opera, Seattle Opera, Philharmonia Baroque, Charlotte Symphony, Boston Symphony, New York Philharmonic, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony Orchestra, Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, and the Minnesota Orchestra. And...the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival!
